Attention all 2018 Leavers: Matrics, Students & Staff
Your email accounts, Home H: drives and information on shared network spaces as well as Google Drive and OneDrive spaces of staff and students leaving the school will be deleted on Wed, 2 January, 2019.
Matrics’ access to biometrics and wifi will be removed after their last exam.
Once deleted, the information cannot be retrieved, so please ensure that you have forwarded or backed up any digital information which you may need before leaving the school. This may include important documentation such as applications to university or job offers, etc.
If you are leaving the school at the end of the year, please do the following before you leave:
- Set up a new email address if you do not already have one. There are good, free options to do this:- e.g. gmail
- Set an out-of-office message on your school email address informing people that your school email address will become inactive on 2 January 2019 and that all correspondence should now be sent to your new email address.
- Set an email reminder as well as a reminder on your phone so that you can remember to back up your Home drive data to an external hard drive or flash drive before you leave.
- You can also save documents to other personal cloud drives (DropBox, iCloud, Google Drive) provided this is done before 2 January 2019.
Once your account is deleted the data cannot be retrieved, so the onus rests on you to ensure that you have saved any digital information which you may need.
